At first light unfurls the chatoyant sky,
Marked of those whimsical blues.
An expansive cover of larimars.
A sky of peace and truce.
The lustre parting,
Making way for a candescent burst.
A beam of benevolence.
Sight of Helios adorning his radiant crown.
Then amber turn those skies,
Their colours of the fall.
Retreat those beams of spirited light
Parting way for the dusk.
Then howl the werewolves,
Displeased are the gods in power,
Releasing wrath of Poseidon’s trident.
Silencing roar of Zeus’s thunderbolts.
Soon stops the barrage,
Restoring calm in proper.
For now can the man return home,
Back to his wife and daughter.
